Nov. 2(13): 69 (1853).The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Valdés et al., 2009+) is Triticum monococcum subsp. aegilopoides (Link) Thell. in Naturwiss. Wochenschr., ser. 2, 17: 470. 1918.

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Southeast Europe to Afghanistan according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Open habitats – hill pastures in the lowest parts of the mountain. Recorded on the southern foot – village of Beli and Svilanovo region.
