Taxonomy: Fam. Apiaceae// Genus: Scandix// Species: Scandix pecten-veneris L. Variability: Scandix pecten-veneris subsp. veneris.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski and Matevski, 2005).

Habitat: Found in open habitats- grassland, near roads and on disturbed ground.

Distribution: Native from the Mediterranean region (Europe, Turkey, Northwest Africa) to Switzerland Central and South Asia, North Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal.

Lifeform: Annual, therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Flowering period: Spring (APR, MAY).
