Taxonomy: Fam. Asparagaceae// Genus: Ornithogalum/ Species: Ornithogalum boucheanum (Kunth) Asch.

The taxonomic classification is given according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (Raab-Straube, 2022+).

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Zahariadi in Tutin et al. (1980).

Lifeform: Bulbous perennial; Geophyte according to the  Raunkiær system.

Distribution:  From Italy and Central Europe to North Caucasus according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (Raab-Straube, 2022+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Disturbed ground – near orchards and roadsides. Found in the Gorge of “Kochanska” River.

Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
