Taxonomy: Fam. Compositae// Genus: Doronicum// Species: Doronicum columnae Ten.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Ferguson (1976 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Central Europe to Italy, Balkan Peninsula and Romania according to the Euro+Med PlantBase (Greuter, 2006+). According to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew), this species has a wider distribution in Europe.

Habitat: Somewhat shaded habitats –  oak forests, along rivers.

Flowering period:  Spring (APR, MAY).

Locality: ridge between Lake Gradche and the Orizarska River. Date: 16.04.2022.
