Taxonomy: Fam. Fabaceae// Genus: Vicia // Species: Vicia barbazitae Ten. & Guss.

Determined according to the botanical key provided Ball in Tutin et al. (1968) and Micevski in Micevski (2001).

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Europe: France, Italy to Balkan Peninsula according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: ILDIS World Database of Legumes, 2010). Also native to Türkiye according to the Plants of the World Online portal – Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (accepted as Vicia laeta Ces.). 

Habitat:  Woods, oak forests, alongside roads.

Flowering period:  Spring: APR, MAY.
