Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1998).
Lifeform: Perennial, shrub; Nanophanerophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution: Native from Europe to West and Central Asia, Northwest Africa according to the Plants of the World Online portal.
Habitat: Grassland, sparse bushland, on the edges of forests. In the Osogovo region it is frequently found in the same habitats as Rosa dumalis Bechst, Rosa gallica L. and Rosa agrestis Savi.
Flowering period: Late spring to early summer (MAY, JUN).
