Taxonomy: Fam. Fabaceae// Genus: Vicia // Species: Vicia serratifolia Jacq.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Micevski in Micevski (2001) as Vicia narbonensis var. serratifolia (Jacq.) Ser. In The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: ILDIS World Database of Legumes, 2010) this taxon is accepted at the species rank: Vicia serratifolia Jacq.

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from the Mediterranean to Caucasus according to distribution information provided by the Plants of The World Online portal and The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: ILDIS World Database of Legumes, 2010).

Habitat:  Found in grassland, on the edges of woods, alongside roads.

Flowering period:  Spring: APR, MAY.
