Distribution: Native to the Mediterranean region according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase.
Habitat: Found in open and dry habitats- grassland, limestone rocks, clearings and edges of mixed oak forests in the Querco-carpinetum orientalis belt.
Flowering period: Spring.
