Determined according to the botanical key provided by de Soó (1980 in Tutin et al.) as Orchis tridentata subsp. commutata (Tod.) Nyman. The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, 2010) is Neotinea tridentata (Scop.) R. M. Bateman, Pridgeon & M. W. Chase subsp. tridentata.

Distribution: Native from Central and South Europe to Caucasus and Jordan according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Found in open habitats – pastures, grasslands and clearings of forests from the lowland up to c. 1100 m altitude, usually on calcareous soil. Recorded localities: village of Beli region, village of Pantelej region,

Lifeform: Perrenial; geophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Flowering period: Spring – early summer, depending on altitude: APR, MAY, JUN.

Locality: village of Beli region.

Locality: Ratkova skala region, near village of Ratkovica at c. 1100 m altitude.

Locality: village of Pantelej region.
