Cardamine graeca L.

Taxonomy: Fam. Brassicaceae// Genus:  Cardamine// Species: Cardamine graeca L.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Micevski (1995).

Species variability: two forms occur in the Osogovo region: f. auriculata with glabrous fruits and f. dasycarpa with hairy fruits.

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to the Central and East Mediterranean region according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Edges and clearings of oak forests, woods, footpaths and roadsides, river gorges. Recorded from c. 400 up to 700 m altitude – gorge of “Kochanska” River and village of Rajchani region.

Flowering period: Spring: MAR, APR.

Locality: gorge of “Kochanska” River. Recoded form: f. auriculata.

Locality: village of Rajchani region. Recorded form: f. dasycarpa.
