Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Temperate Eurasia, North Africa to Sahel and Somalia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal.

Habitat:  Open habitats – grassland, sparse woods, shrubland; disturbed ground – alongside roads, cultivated land, urban and suburban areas.

Flowering period: Late spring -summer (MAY, JUN,JUL).
