Lifeform:  Perennial – hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Temperate Eurasia and northwest Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Ruder plant usually associated with disturbed ground – cultivated land, wasteland, roadsides.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL, AUG.
