Distribution: Native from France to North Caucasus and Turkey according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens Kew).
Habitat: Found in open habitats – grassland, rocks, rocky terrains with shallow soil, sparse bushland.
Lifeform: Biennial or perennial (hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system).
Flowering period: Spring-summer: MAY, JUN, JUL.
