Determined as Taraxacum sect. Serotina according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 4 (Tutin et al., 1976). In The Euro+Med PlantBase (Kirschner, Štepánek & Greuter, 2007+) this taxon is considered a synonym of the section Dioszegia (Heuff.) Heuff. The species was determined according to the key morphological traits in the section Dioszegia provided by Zeisek et al. (2015).
Lifeform: Perrenial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution: Native to the Balkan Peninsula and Lebanon according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (Kirschner, Štepánek & Greuter, 2007+)
Habitat: Open habitats- grassland, rocky terrains.
Flowering period: Autumn: SEP, OCT.
