Determined according to the botanical keys provided in Flora Europaea (Tutin et al., 1972).
Habitat: Found in open habitats, clearings and edges of forests.
Distribution: Lamium bifidum Cirillo is native to the southern part of Europe, from Portugal to the Balkan Peninsula, Romania and Crete; Lamium bifidum Cirillo subsp. bifidum occurs in Portugal, France- Corse, Italy including Sardinia, Balkan Peninsula to Romania and southward to Crete; Lamium bifidum subsp. balcanicum Velen. is native to the Balkan Peninsula and Romania according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: World Checklist of Selected Plant Families (2010).
Lifeform: Annual, therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.
Flowering period: Spring :APR, MAY.
