Taxonomy: Fam. Euphorbiaceae// Genus: Euphorbia// Species: Euphorbia prostrata Aiton

Determined according to the botanical keys provided in The Flora of Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1998).

Distribution: Native to North, Central and South America- Central and South U.S.A. to Tropical & Subtropical America according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew). Introduced elsewhere.

Habitat:  Disturbed ground- usual found near roadsides and pavements, urban areas.

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Flowering period: Summer-autumn (AUG, SEP, OCT, NOV).
