Distribution: Native to Southeast Europe, Central and Eastern Mediterranean according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Habitat: Open habitats- grasslands, ruderal areas, near orchards, cultivated land, roadsides.
Flowering period: Late spring- early summer (MAY, JUN).
