Taxonomy: Fam. Caryophyllaceae// Genus: Cerastium// Species: Cerastium brachypetalum Pers.

Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1993).

Habitat: Found in open habitats: grassland, rocky sites, sparse bushland.

Distribution: Native to  Europe, West Asia and North Africa according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Marhold, 2011).

Lifeform: Annual, therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
