Fallopia convolvulus (L.) Á. Löve (syn. Bilderdykia convolvulus (L.) Dumort.)

Taxonomy: Fam. Polygonaceae// Genus: Fallopia// Species: Fallopia convolvulus (L.) Á. Löve.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Webb in Tutin et al. (1964) and Micevski (1995) as Bilderdykia convolvulus (L.) Dumort., Fl. Belg. 18 (1827). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Uotila, 2017+) is  Fallopia convolvulus (L.) Á. Löve, in Taxon 19: 300. 1970.

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Macaronesia to North Africa, Eurasia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Among woods, bushes, near rivers, disturbed ground, roadsides.

Flowering period: Late spring – autumn: MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG, SEP.
