Lifeform: Perrenial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from France, Central and South Europe to Krym, Caucasus and Iran according to the distribution information provided by Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Grasslands and clearings of European beech forests.

Flowering period:  Summer: JUN, JUL.
