Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 4 (Tutin, Persson and Gutermann in Tutin et al., 1976) and Flora SR Srbije VII (Gajić in Josifović, 1975).

Lifeform:  Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to North Africa and Eurasia – from Southeast and East Europe to Siberia, Japan and Southeast Asia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Disturbed ground – near settlements and other ruderal areas.

Flowering period: Fall: SEP- OCT.
