Distribution: Native from East Central Europe to Italy, Balkan Peninsula and East European Russia according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Edges of woods and forests in the oak forests belt.
Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
