Determined according to the botanical key provided by Micevski (2001) and Ball (1968 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Perrenial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Siberia, China and West Himalaya; Morocco according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: ILDIS World Database of Legumes, 2010).

Habitat: Moist habitats in the European beech forests belt – near mountain streams, wet grasslands. Recorded from 900 to 1500 m altitude.

Flowering period:  Summer (JUN, JUL).

Locality: Ponikva.

Locality: “Shtalkovichka” River near the “Shtalkovica” waterfall.
