Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Tutin (1968 in Tutin at al.) and Micevski (2005 in Matevski) as Apium nodiflorum (L.) Lag., Amen. Nat. 1: 101 (1821). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Hand, 2011+) is Helosciadium nodiflorum (L.) W. D. J. Koch in Nova Acta Phys.-Med. Acad. Caes. Leop.-Carol. Nat. Cur. 12: 126. 1824.

Lifeform: Perrenial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Europe, Mediterranean region to Central Asia, Pakistan, Arabian Peninsula, Tanzania and Chad according to the distribution information provided by Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Wet habitats- river banks. Found along “Kochanska” River.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUN.
