Taxonomy: Apiaceae// Genus: Pastinaca// Species: Pastinaca hirsuta  Pančić.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Tutin (1968 in Tutin at al., key to genera and Pastinaca L.), Matevski (2005, key to genera) and Micevski, Kostadinovski and Matevski (2005 in Matevski, Pastinaca L.).

Lifeform: Perrenial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to the Balkan Peninsula according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Hand, 2011+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Mountain grasslands and clearings of forests at c. 1350 m altitude.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL.
