Distribution: Native from Europe to Xinjiang (China), West Himalaya and Arabian Peninsula, North Africa to Ethiopia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Edges of woods, roadsides, near orchards and cultivated land and other ruderal areas.
Flowering period: Late spring – summer: MAY, JUN.
