Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Hansen (1976 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Perennial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Subarctic America to U.S.A. and introduced worldwide according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Roadsides and disturbed ground. The plant is not native to the Osogovo region and it is found only as a ruderal plant.

Flowering period: Summer – autumn: AUG, SEP.
