Lifeform: Caespitose annual or biennial plant c. 3 to 15 (-20) cm high.

Distribution: Native to the Balkan Peninsula and Romania according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med Plantbase (source: Marhold, 2011+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Subalpine pastures starting at c. 1800 m above.

Flowering period: Summer – fall: AUG, SEP, OCT.
