Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Heywood (1968 in Tutin et al.) and Micevski (2005 in Matevski).

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Italy and the Balkan Peninsula to Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Hill pastures, dry grasslands and rocky terrains at lower altitudes.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL, AUG.
