Habitat: Wet places – near streams and well saturated soil.

Distribution: Native from Europe (except the North) to Afghanistan according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (accepted as Dichodon viscidum (M.Bieb.) Holub).

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.
