Taxonomy: Fam. Caryophyllaceae// Genus: Cerastium// Species: Cerastium dubium (Bastard) Guépin.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Jalas; Sell and Whitehead in Tutin et al. (1964) and Micevski (1993) as Cerastium dubium (Bast.) O. Schwarz, Mitt. Thür. Bot. Ges. 1 (1) : 98 (1949) (C. anomalum Waldst. & Kit.). The accepted name in the Euro+Med PlantBase Marhold, 2011+) is Cerastium dubium (Bastard) Guépin in Mitt. Thüring. Bot. Ges. 1: 98. 1949.

Habitat: Wet places – near streams and well saturated soil.

Distribution: Native from Europe (except the North) to Afghanistan according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (accepted as Dichodon viscidum (M.Bieb.) Holub).

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Flowering period: Spring – summer: APR, MAY, JUN.
