Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Micevski and Matevski (1995 in Micevski) and Ball (1964 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Biennial or perennial (hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system).

Distribution: Native from Europe to Russian Far East, Mongolia and Xinjiang (China) according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  European beech forest – edges of woods, clearings, along mountain roads. Recorded in Jamishko oese region.

Flowering period: Late spring to early summer (MAY, JUN).
