Taxonomy: Fam. Compositae// Genus:  Picris// Species: Picris pauciflora Willd.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Sell in Tutin et al. (1976).

Lifeform: Annual plant. Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Rocky terrains, edges of oak forest.

Flowering period: Late spring – early summer: MAY, JUN.
