Distribution: Native from East Central and Southeast Europe to the Asiatic part of the East Mediterranean according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) and The Euro+Med PlantBase (Marhold, 2011+).
Lifeform: Perrenial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Habitat: Rocky terrains, dry grasslands/ pastures, clearings of forests.
Flowering time: Summer: JUN, JUL.
