Lifeform: Annual plant. Therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Distribution: Native from the Balkan Peninsula to Turkmenistan and Afghanistan according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Open habitats- calcareous hill pastures.

Flowering period: Late spring – summer (MAY, JUN).
