Distribution: Native from Europe to Kazakhstan and West Himalaya; Arabian Penisula (Oman); Northwest Africa and Ethiopia according to the Plants of the World Online portal, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (accepted as Draba verna var. verna.
Habitat: Grasslands, pastures, rocky terrains, shrublands, openings and edges of forests, disturbed ground – near roads, orchards and other ruderal areas.
Flowering period: Late winter- early spring: FEB, MAR.
