Determined as Alyssum desertorum Stapf according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1995). The accepted name in the Euro+Med PlantBase is Alyssum turkestanicum Regel & Schmalh (Marhold, 2011) .

Distribution: Native to parts of Europe, Asia, North Africa (Plants of the World Online portal).
Habitat: Found on rock terrains, hill grasslands/ pastures, on distured ground, near roads, in sparse shrublands.
