Taxonomy: Fam. Ranunculaceae// Genus: Anemone// Species: Anemone blanda  Schott & Kotschy

Determined  as Anemone blanda Schott & Kotschy according to the botanical key in Flora Europaea (Tutin et al., 1964). In the Flora of SR Macedonia (Micevski, 1985) this taxon is considered a subspecies included in Anemone apennina L. (subsp. blanda Schott & Kotschy). In the Euro+Med PlantBase (Raab-Straube, E. von, Hand, R., Hörandl, E. & Nardi, E. (2014+) the taxon is accepted at the species rank Anemone blanda Schott & Kotschy.

Lifeform: Perrenial; Geophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Habitat:  Found in open rocky sites,  grasslands, sparse shrublands.

Flowering period: Late winter- early spring (FEB,  MAR, APR).
