Taxonomy: Fam. Ranunculaceae// Genus: Anemone// Species: Anemone blanda  Schott & Kotschy.

Determined  as Anemone blanda Schott & Kotschy according to the botanical key provided by Tutin in Tutin et al. (1964); Anemone apennina subsp. blanda Schott & Kotschy according to Micevski (1985). In The Euro+Med PlantBase (Raab-Straube at al., 2014+) the taxon is accepted at the species rank – Anemone blanda Schott & Kotschy.

Lifeform: Perrenial; Geophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Habitat:  Found in open rocky sites,  grasslands/ pastures, sparse shrubland.

Flowering period: Late winter – spring: FEB, MAR, APR.
