Distribution: Native from Southeast Europe to Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Hill pastures and shrubland at lower altitudes. Recorded in the hilly region near village of Beli, the hilly area near Kochani and in the Svilanovo region.

Flowering period: Late spring – summer: (MAY-) JUN.
