Taxonomy: Fam. Asparagaceae// Genus: Asparagus/ Species: Asparagus verticillatus L. The classification is given according to The Euro+Med Planbase (source: Raab-Straube, 2022+).

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Valdés (1980 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Rhizomatous perennial plant. Cryptophyte- rhizome geophyte according to the  Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Southeast Europe to Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Hill pastures and shrubland at lower altitudes. Recorded in the hilly region near village of Beli, the hilly area near Kochani and in the Svilanovo region.

Flowering period: Late spring – summer: (MAY-) JUN.

Locality: Svilanovo. Date: 05.10.2025.
