Taxonomy: Fam. Scrophulariaceae// Genus: Verbascum// Species: Verbascum flavidum (Boiss.) Freyn & Bornm.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Ferguson in Tutin et al. (1972) as Verbascum phoeniceum subsp. flavidum (Boiss.) Bornm., Bot. Jahrb. 61, Biebl. 4: 48 (1928). In The Euro+Med PlantBase (Marhold, 2011+), this taxon is accepted at the species level – Verbascum flavidum (Boiss.) Freyn & Bornm. in Oesterr. Bot. Z. 41: 57. 1891.

Lifeform: Perennial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from the Balkan Peninsula to Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Pastures, edges and clearings of oak forests.

Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
