Taxonomy: Fam. Compositae// Genus:  Tragopogon// Species: Tragopogon dubius Scop.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Richardson in Tutin et al. (1976).

Lifeform: Annual (therophyte according to the Raunkiær system) or biennial.

Distribution: Native to Europe to China (Xinjiang) and Himalaya according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Grasslands, clearings and edges of forests, disturbed ground.

Flowering period:  Spring to early summer: APR, MAY, JUN.
