Determined according to the botanical key provided by Micevski (2001) and do Amaral Franco and Pinto da Silva (1968 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Annual plant. Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Lupinus angustifolius L. is native to the Mediterranean region according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew). L. angustifolius subsp. reticulatus is also distributed thru the Mediterranean according to The Euro+Med PlantBase.

Habitat:  Open habitats- grassland, sparse bushland, rocky terrains.

Flowering period: Late  spring – early summer: MAY, JUN.
