Taxonomy: Fam. Campanulaceae// Genus: Campanula // Species: Campanula phrygia Jaub. & Spach

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Fedorov and Kovanda (1976 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Annual plant. Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from the Balkan Peninsula to Jordan according to the distribution information provided by the Euro+Med PlantBase (Castroviejo et al., 2010+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Dry grasslands/ pastures, rocky terrains, edges and clearings of oak forests. Recorded from c. 600 up to 950 m altitude, on several localities: “Lake Gradche” – ridge between “Golema” River and ‘Mala” River; ridge between Lake “Gradche” and “Orizarska” River; near village of Krushka.

Flowering period: Late spring to summer (MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG).

Locality: ridge between Lake “Gradche” and “Orizarska” River.
