Taxonomy: Fam. Aspleniaceae// Genus: Asplenium// Species: Asplenium ceterach L.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Micevski (1985) and Lawalrée in Tutin et al. (1964) as Ceterach officinarum DC. The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Christenhusz & Raab-Straube, 2013+) is Asplenium ceterach L.

Lifeform: Perrenial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Tibet, North Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Garden, Kew).

Habitat:  Rocks and rock cervices, river gorges.
