Taxonomy: Fam. Lamiaceae// Genus: Salvia// Species: Salvia verbenaca L.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided in Flora Europaea (Tutin et al., 1972).

Habitat: Grasslands, edges of forests, disturbed ground- alongside footpaths.

Distribution: Native to Macaronesia; from West Europe to the Mediterranean and Caucasus; Eritrea according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal.

Lifeform: Perrenial – hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Flowering period: Spring- summer: APR, MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG.
