Determined according to the botanical key provided by Fedorov and Kovanda (1976 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Biennial plant.

Distribution: Native to Balkan Peninsula and Romania (South-West Carpathians) according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew). Also native to the Asiatic part of Türkiye according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (Castroviejo et al., 2010+).

Habitat:  Grasslands, pastures, bushland, clearings and edges of forests in the oak forests belt. Recorded from the lowland up to c. 1000 m altitude, on several localities: hilly region near village of Beli, gorge of “Kochanska” River, lake “Gradche”, ridge between lake “Gradche” and “Orizarska” River.

Flowering period:  Late spring to summer (MAY, JUN, JUL).

Locality: “Mala” River near lake “Gradche”.
