Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system. Plant with relatively short life cycle.
Distribution: Native from Hungary to the Mediterranean and West Asia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Dry and open habitats – dry grassland/ hill pastures, rocky terrains, river gorges, rocks and rocky terrains with shallow soil, roadsides.
Flowering period: Spring: APR.
