Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea (Tutin et. al, 1972) as Orobanche ramosa subsp. nana (Reuter) Coutinho. In The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Domina & Raab-Straube, 2010+) this taxon is accepted at the species level – Phelipanche nana (Reut.) Soják.
Lifeform: Obligate root parasite.
Host: Found on Calepina irregularis and other herbs as host.
Distribution: Native to Macaronesia, Mediterranean to Afghanistan according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
