Determined according to the botanical key provided by Chater (1968 in Tutin et al.) and Micevski (2005 in Matevski).

Lifeform: Perennial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Caucasus, North Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Open and dry habitats – dry grasslands, pastures and rocky terrains. Recorded from the lowland up to c. 1550 m altitude. Recorded localities: hills near Kochani, gorge of “Kochanska” River, village of Beli, mountain ridge between lake “Gradche” and “Orizarska” River, Ponikva.

Flowering period: Summer- autumn: JUL, AUG, SEP.

Locality: gorge of “Kochanska” River.

Locality: hills near Kochani.

Locality: village of Beli.
