Determined according to the botanical key provided by McNeill (1980 in Tutin et al.) as Scilla autumnalis L. The accepted name in The Euro+Med Planbase (source: World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, 2010) is Prospero autumnale (L.) Speta.

Lifeform: Perennial plant. Geophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from West Europe to Caucasus and the Mediterranean according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitatat: Open dry terrains- hill pastures, rocky terrains, clearings and edges of forests.

Flowering period: Late summer – autumn: AUG, SEP, OCT (- NOV).
