Distribution: Native to Italy, Balkan Peninsula to Aegean Islands and Lebanon according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med Planbase (source: Raab-Straube, 2021+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Pastures, edges and clearings of oak forests. Recorded from c. 500 to 800 m a.s.l.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL.
